Day 26 – More pictures from the first Washington section

Camping near Adams, look at that view!
A little more up close and personal with Adams
Starting to hike up and into the Goat Rocks area, this is just the beginning of the snow 😉
Still climbing up, the snow is starting to get a little more involved
Here we go!  See that rock cairn on the horizon, that was the goal for this part
I know it doesn’t look like much, but this is actually the most treacherous section, the snow crossings were on a steep slope with nothing to stop you if you slip and fall
You can see the boot track across the snow in this one, that helps (having the boot track made crossing the snow slope easier)
This is old snowy mtn! See those snow fields to the right in this pic?  That’s where the trail goes, looks like fun, right?!?
The Knife’s Edge, this is the section after old snowy mtn, and if it’s covered in snow it would be formidable, but luckily for me it had melted out, so this part was no big deal
And some nice views of Rainier along the way
And that’s it!  This is looking back on the Goat Rocks area while coming down
